How to book your accommodation with us
Make your choice of room at
our homepage. Fill in the form for a booking request.
We will answer you in 48 hours.
We will always do our best to book you into the most suitable home according to
your requirements. Please notice that we are UNABLE to arrange any ONE night
stays in our private homes.
Take into account the accommodation that each home offers - single, double,
twin, triple - and choose accordingly. For example, homes offering a double
bedroom are for two visitors, not single occupancy.
We get in contact with the host
and after approval from us, please transfer the booking fee to
our bank and you get your confirmation to the room and the name, address and
telephone number to your host.
You will also receive all information regarding your booking.
Once you booked and got your confirmation you get in contact with your host.
If you are not able to arrive you have to tell your host at once.
Cancellation terms: in the case of cancellation of the booking,
Stockholm Uptown shall charge a penalty to the client calculated as a percentage
of the amount due for the period booked, in relation to the notification of
cancellation given
30% of the total amount of the vacation for
cancellations made 60 to 20 days before the foreseen arrival date; 50% of the
total price of the vacation for cancellations made 19 to 7 days before the
foreseen arrival date; 100% of the total price of the vacation for cancellations
made 6 days or less before the foreseen arrival date, with a minimum vacation of
1 night. All paid deposits shall be used as partial or full payment of the above
indicated penalties.
Arrivals and departures
Families are happy to welcome visitors to their home any time after 12 AM
if you are arriving early from abroad. Your bedroom might not be ready but you
will be welcome to leave your luggage and I am sure your hosts will offer you a
cup of tea or coffee. If you are arriving in the evening hosts would appreciate
their guests arriving by 10pm at the latest on their day of arrival. If you are
arriving any later than this please tell us this at the time of booking as it
may not be possible to arrange your stay for that night. Be free to contact your
host for an arrangement.
It will be appreciated if you can vacate your bedroom by 12 AM on the day of
your departure. If you have a late afternoon or evening departure time it is
generally possible for you to leave your luggage and collect it later by
arrangement with your host.
We always suggest that you make sure your travel arrangements are confirmed
before you arrange your accommodation
Your host-family will be pleased to advise you the best way to reach their home
when you contact them to reconfirm your arrival time.
Parking
You will find that having a car in Stockholm, especially in or close to the
centre, may be difficult because of the many parking restrictions and charges.
If a car is of importance please mention this at the time of booking and be
prepared to pay a daily parking charge.
Arrival in Stockholm
The Central Station is where you end up in Stockholm irrespective of arrival to
Stockholm by air, train or bus. Fast trains and busses from Arlanda airport and
from Skavsta airport takes you to the same location as well. The subway takes
you to all parts of Stockholm from the same location.
In your contact with your host he/she will be happy to tell you the best
transportation to reach your accommodation.
